March is a special month for Nike. It’s because March marks the annual “Air Max Day” celebration when Air Max technology first came out on March 26, 1987 with the debut of the Nike Air Max 1. With that said, here we get a first look at the Nike Air Max 1 “Treeline” set for a March 2022 release.
Highly similar to color schemes found on Nike SB Dunks during 4/20 days, this “Treeline” AM1 stands out. Most say it’s inspired by the Nike SB Dunk High “Skunk” from 2010; attributed to the fuzzy suede panels on the purple Swoosh and green mudguard.
Brown mesh makes up the upper panels together with a leather overlay for durability. More purple colors hit the Nike Air on the tongue which may remind people of DC’s popular super villain The Joker. But with obvious 4/20 hints, expect these to arrive by the end of March or sometime in April 2022.
A Sail White foam midsole and a black waffle outsole complete this enchanting new colorway.
Air Max Day 2022 celebrates the 35th anniversary of Air Max technology; so expect even more surprises such as the “Treeline” colorway as we approach the brand’s latest milestone.
