Quite a familiar colorway for some. The new Air Jordan 13 “Del Sol” boasts the same hues as the canceled Jordan 13 “Melo Class of 2002” from 2018. But this time, we get a white premium leather base instead of the nylon and suede found on the latter.
We finally get a confirmed release of the Air Jordan 13 Retro “Del Sol” on March 19, 2022. And it’s definitely going to be another highly anticipated pair as we cover the rest of the Jordan Brand Spring 2022 releases.
Starting things off, we have the premium leather body with dimples on the sides; as a tribute to Michael Jordan’s love for luxury cars - although some said it’s also inspired by his passion for golf. Either way, this signature detail remains iconic to the sneaker.
Yellow Del Sol pigments cover the suede mudguard, as well as the rear panel where the iconic hologram is located. The yellow color extends unto the Phylon midsole - which also hides two Zoom Air units placed on the heel and forefoot for top-notch comfort. University Red detailing appears on the Jumpman tongue and some parts of the rubber outsole.
While the shoe released last week on the SNKRS Exclusive Access, don’t lose hope as the official release is set on the 19th of March and can be purchased on the Nike SNKRS App, as well as from select retailers worldwide.
