The grail among all sneaker grails. The legendary Air Jordan 1 High returns in the marquee “Chicago” colorway this year. After the hype surrounding the J1 High 85 “Georgetown”, the “Chicago” rendition will surely break the internet (and our wallets)! All that and more as we wait for official photos.
The Air Jordan 1 High 85 silhouette stays true to OG Jordan 1 form; it has a higher cut than the regular Air Jordan 1s we’ve been getting as of late. While there are no photos to give us a glimpse of what to expect, various news outlets said it’s going to have a vintage finish.
If we’re getting exactly what we think it would look like, then expect the usual “Chicago” color blocking. It comes with a white leather base with Red leather overlays on the toe, eyestay, ankle collar, and heel panel. Hints of Black appear on the collar and the Swoosh on the sides. A white rubber cupsole and a Red rubber outsole finish off the Chicago Bulls “Home” colorway. Apparently, the “Reimagined” name may give us a different look than expected.
The Air Jordan 1 High 85 boasts vintage effects such as the yellowish tongue and midsole; so expect similar if not the same details on the upcoming highly anticipated colorway.
With latest rumors hinting at an October 2022 release, keep your eyes posted on official announcements from Jordan Brand sometime this year.
